The history of foundation and development of BAUCENTER Company began in Kaliningrad. In 1994 the first store came into being with a total area of 200 sq. meters, where only 9 people worked. Currently in the city there are 4 large DIY-stores successfully operating; their total sales area is 40 000 sq. meters.
 
The huge experience which has been accumulated by BAUCENTER while working in the DIY-market of Kaliningrad has allowed extending its know how and trademark all over Russia. In 2006 a new project was launched aimed at establishment of national DIY chain: stores under BAUCENTER trademark successfully opened in new regions of Russia.
 
In November 2006 BAUCENTER opened its store in the south of Russia, Krasnodar city. July 14, 2007 BAUCENTER store was opened in Siberia, Omsk city. Year 2007 had become very fruitful – the 4th store in Kaliningrad in October and a month later the 2nd store in Krasnodar. The latest outcome is BAUCENTER store in Omsk which was opened on 12th of July 2008.

Accordingly, at the moment BAUCENTER runs 8 stores in 3 regions of the Russian Federation: 4 in Kaliningrad, 2 in Krasnodar and 2 in Omsk.
 
The specific feature of the federal expansion of BAUCENTER is independent regional representations. The organization of store operation in Kaliningrad is performed by BAUCENTER KALININGRAD. BAUCENTER YUG with its office in Krasnodar has been set up to control stores in the Southern Federal district. BAUCENTER SIBERIA operates in Omsk aimed to form DIY-chain on the territory of Siberia.
 
BAUCENTER RUS, the managing company and headquarters is located in Kaliningrad. The tasks which it is aimed to are to develop the strategic planning of expansion on the territory of the Russian Federation, to coordinate the activity in regional representations, to develop and implement the uniform policy in regard to sourcing, marketing, logistics, sales, human resources and other important issues.
